Hello Corktown business and neighborhood associations!

My name is Erin and I lead Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, as well as being an active member of the Corktown Business Association. We had our planning meeting with the City this week for this year's walk, and I wanted to provide the walk routes for you to share within your communities. 

The city created the walk route for us this year, to work with MDOT and do our best to minimize traffic issues. We will have a traffic management company helping with traffic flow as well. We have a 1-mile loop and a 2.3-mile loop. 

The event is Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 8 AM un 11 AM at the Corner Ballpark. The walk begins at 9 AM and will conclude by 11 AM. All barriers will be removed by Noon. Last year we had 15,000 participants come to the walk in support of Breast Cancer research; we are expecting just as many this year. We have parking available for free at the MGM Grand with shuttle service to alleviate some of the parking woes. This event is a FREE community event, as we invite you all to join us.
