This is Kelly MacDonald with the Greening of Detroit. I’m reaching out to representatives of Detroit block clubs to spread the word about our upcoming FREE Tree Giveaway event on Thursday, April 23rd from 2-5:30 PM (or until supplies last) at 12600 Chandler Park Dr, Detroit, 48213 (Wayne County Aquatic Center parking lot). This is available for any residents of Detroit, Highland Park, and Hamtramck. Feel free to pass this information along to your block club members and any other neighbors/friends who would be interested!

Here are some logistical details:

• Residents will park in the designated area, and walk to the tree pickup area (The Greening of Detroit staff will be directing traffic)

• We will have staff available to help residents move their tree into their vehicle if needed

• We will supply pamphlets about tree care and maintenance
