Hi Neighbors!

With the fall officially here, we hope that you are enjoying the fantastic events and activities that abound in our fun neighborhood!

As you know, this newsletter is your connection to ways that you can engage with your neighbors and enjoy the spaces and businesses that surround us. Please plan to attend the next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, October 29 starting at 6pm at the Maltese Benevolent Society and keep reading for all kinds of additional ways to connect to plug in!

Kintsugi Village School opens!

Saturday, October 11; doors open at 12PM

Our newest neighbor is cutting the ribbon on their space! The celebration starts with a welcome, continues with tours, food, music, festivities and activities for kids. Grab your ticket at: Grand Opening - The Kintsugi Village

ATTENTION!! Road Closures coming!

Saturday, October 11: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Michigan Avenue will be closed in both directions from 16th to Trumbull from 6AM until noon.

Friday, October 31: Halloween Celebration at Michigan Central. The closure includes Lacombe and Dalzelle Streets between 14th Street (west side) and Vernor Highway (east side). This closure only affects traffic directly in front of the Michigan Central and Newlab. Vehicles traveling north and south will still have access to 14th Street and Vernor Highway.

Ralph C. Wilson Centennial Park Opens

Saturday, October 25 and Sunday October 26

This free event will start on Saturday, October 11 with a press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony and feature food trucks and other fun activities until 8PM for the entire weekend. Check it out!

Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation is bring back classes starting October 20!
