Hi Neighbors!

With the summer officially here, we hope that you are enjoying the fantastic events and activities that abound in our fun neighborhood!

As you know, this newsletter is your connection to ways that you can engage with your neighbors and enjoy the spaces and businesses that surround us. If you haven’t already, plan for the summer mixer on Monday, June 23 starting at 5pm on the lot at the corner of Dalzelle and Wabash. We’ll be there to see the fireworks together!

Pre-Firework Block Club Summer Party!

Monday, June 23rd at 5pm

One of the goals of the Block Club is to make the neighborhood more connected. So bring your family out and meet your neighbors at a potluck summer party on the corner of Dalzelle and Wabash! Bring a chair and your favorite food or beverage (or both?) and we’ll celebrate together!

June 24 Virtual Community Update Imagination Station Parcel

Want to know more about what’s happening on the Imagination Station parcel (corner of Dalzelle and 14th)? Join Chase Cantrell and Executive Director of Building Community Value and architect Damon Dickerson to learn about their proposal for the site including updates from the Historic Commission. Motor City Makeover - COMPLETE!

We met at Muliett Park, and together, made our neighborhood a little nicer and had fun in the process! Thank you to all that contributed to a more vibrant and livable shared space.

• June 17: Ford Philanthropy Community Impact Launch

• June 19: Juneteenth Jubilee

• June 21: Soul Food R&B Fest (est. 7,000 attendees)

• July 19: Showdown in Motown

• July 26: The White Dinner Party

• August 10: Pan-Hellenic Greek Cookout
